Peter Pilotto for Target Has Arrived!

As I impatiently awaited for the Peter Pilotto for Target collection to launch on the Target website at 12 am this morning, it never went live!
I was on the phone with my mom and sister {3 way call with my mom holding her house phone with me on the other end and her cell with my sister at the other end} trying to figure out our plan of attack.  As we were researching, we found that the collection would launch sometime in the "wee hours of the morning," whatever that meant.
We decided to wake ourselves up as early as possible to check.  My mom called me at 5:30 am that it had launched!

This is what I ordered, fingers crossed that none of it gets backordered!

I decided to not even bother the trek out to one of the stores this morning, knowing the mad house it will be even though I really wanted the purple floral print sleeveless dress {not sure if it's worth the $70, but Target made that decision for me!}

What were you able to score today?

Peter Pilotto for Target Lookbook Revealed

I am beyond excited for the new Target designer collaboration with Peter Pilotto! I marked its release date on my calendar as soon as I heard about it back in September, when the 3.1 Philip Lim collection launched.

It’s ironic; I am currently sitting here writing this at my desk and I am wearing my 3.1 Philim Lim floral chiffon button down blouse! Most of my favorite items in my closet are from the Target designer collaborations.

Ever since the first collection, I have gotten at least one piece from every collection.  I just love the whole idea of these collaborations.  We budget minded fashionistas are able to snag a piece of fashion from designers that we most definitely would not be able to afford would not be willing to splurge on from their full price collections if we wanted more than 5 items in our wardrobe.

What are some of the pieces you plan on purchasing? What are some of the pieces from past collections that you love? I would love to hear what others love about these collaborations!

Counting down the days until the collection is on sale!

What I Wore Wednesday

It feels really strange to have a post centered around me.  When it comes to my blog posts, I like being behind the camera and letting my DIYing take center stage.  However, my outfit yesterday I am completely in love with!  I was wearing some of my new favorite finds mixed with some oldies.

…It all started with my designer collection obsession from Target.  I have gotten at least one piece of each limited edition collection Target has released since the first one of Proenza Schouler back in 2007.  You can imagine how much I have spent since then with over a dozen collections launched!

The last collection that launched was 3.1 Phillip Lim this past September.  His collection had bright graphics, and of course my favorite, ANIMAL PRINT!

A few other items I scored from past collections:

Fast forward to the other week, who can forget Turkey Day?  My body is still recuperating from all that food!  I went back home to New York for Thanksgiving, and did the Moonlight shopping at Tanger Outlets (our new tradition!) and scored this AMAZING cobalt blue bag at Kate Spade, 60% off outlet prices- WIN!  Along with a matching wallet, iPad mini case, and2 bracelets.  And that was all just Kate Spade.

I really love shopping, can’t you tell?  And I love getting it all on sale, who pays full retail anymore?

So I paired my animal print skirt and Kate Spade bag with a simple turtleneck I have had forever from the GAP and blue flats from UO.  It was a miracle that they were all the same hue of blue!
